Which phones does it work on?

ForecastPal is an Android app, available on Google Play.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no account.

How do rain alerts work?

ForecastPal looks at the next few hours where you are and sends a notification just before rain starts, for example “☔ Rain starting soon: Light rain expected around 09:00 in London.” You can turn notifications on or off in Settings.

How does the confidence score work?

It compares four independent forecast models (ECMWF, GFS, ICON and the UK Met Office) and how much the forecast has changed since the previous run. It then gives the next 24 hours a score from 0 to 100, with the reasons in plain English.

The score tells you how sure the forecast is, not that it is right. Forecasts are probabilities, not promises.

Where does the weather data come from?

Forecasts come from Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0), and the rain radar from RainViewer.

Which languages does it speak?

English, Deutsch, Français and Español.
